One-week activity promotes Capital's Olympic bid

Sports and film lovers would be able to enjoy their passions during the Beijing International Sports Film Week taking place in Beijing. The festival features nearly 60 sports films produced domestically and abroad, and organizers of the event, also home to lend support to Beijing's intentions to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
During the seven days, a series of activities will be held for public viewing, including sports film exhibitions, sports culture exhibition and film screening. And sports lovers were also able to participate in a run held during the evening hours as part of the opening ceremony to show people's enthusiasm for sports. In an effort to help China's 2022 Games bid, the festival will show films of winter sports like "ice skating and skiing".
"I'm a Winter Sports enthusiast. I love skiing. I think I can ski quite well. I hope we can host the 2022 Winter Olympics so I can enjoy winter sports in my home country," Former badminton world champion Ye Zhaoying said.
"I'm very familiar with Zhangjiakou because I love skiing. I've been hitting the slopes there for more than ten years. I hope the Winter Olympic can come to our country and bring the world's top athletes here," Singer Sha Baoliang said.
