Again, this must be your finger
Playing gently the melody of your sorrow and yearning
Late at night.

I listen quietly,
With cheeks flushed,
To the liveliness of the strings.

A sound passes through my heart,
—So miserable,
I understand, but can not respond.

Life is destined for what it is.
Too frail
Is the imagination of man;

Unless one day in dream
You and I
Pluck together the strings of hope.
